Last week, Katy Perry released a new video for the single "Roar". However, not everyone is equally excited about the latest release from sugar-pop princess. Animal welfare organization PETA criticizes Perry for the use of exotic animals in the video. They believe that animals are likely to have been injured before and during filming, since the animals came from a company that has a bad reputation.
Merrilee Burke, a spokeswoman for PETA, said to The Daily Star: "The Serengeti Ranch, which is the animal exhibits which we believe has provided movies animals for" Roar "video, has been investigated by The U.S. Department of Agriculture 22 times since 2001. "
She says also: "Animals movies used for entertainment, subjected to horrific atrocities suffer incarceration and violent treatment. They often become stressed and scared when they pulled around and forced into the unknown and frightening situations."
"Roar" is the first single from Katy Perry's third album "Prism", published on 22 October. The single went to number one on the Hot 100 chart, giving the singer her eighth number one single. The album received only one star of GAFFA Leonora Christina Skov. Recently she published in 2010 "Teenage Dream" which GAFFA Signe Bønsvig Wehding gave two stars.
